ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Deepen Your Practice, Transform Your Teaching

A hybrid training designed for committed practitioners ready to explore the Intermediate Series, classical philosophy, anatomy, and Ayurveda—blending residential immersion with flexible online coursework.

ASHTANGA INTERMEDIATE SERIES

A posture-by-posture immersion into the second series, exploring the relationship between breath, bandha, and alignment. Students learn to navigate the deeper backbends, hip openers, and inversions of the Intermediate Series, “Nadi Shodhana” (nerve cleansing) with intelligence and confidence—building a practice designed to evolve over the course of one’s lifetime.

THE ART OF ADJUSTMENT

Skilled adjustments operate on physical, energetic, and mental levels simultaneously. With Kamal Singh—renowned for his inspiring classes and precise yet powerful hands-on assists refined over 30+ years of teaching worldwide—students learn to read the body, understand the intention of each posture from the inside out, and offer adjustments that increase alignment psychological possibility.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

Dedicated yoga practitioners and teachers who have completed a 200‑hour training and/or have established a consistent Ashtanga Vinyasa practice. You’re ready to be committed and disciplined in your practice in order to experience genuine transformation.

This program will provide participants with an experience of yoga that will bring greater depth and meaning to their practice and teaching. It is designed for those who are wishing to start incorporating the Intermediate Series postures into their self-practice, as well as those who already have an established practice in the Intermediate Series and are seeking the skills to be able to start incorporating this sequence into their teaching safely and effectively.

This program is also for those seeking to bring more practical knowledge of biomechanics into their understanding of yoga asana, as well as knowledge about the history and current context of classical yoga philosophy.

YTT 300hr Ashtanga Vinyasa Spain Kamal Singh

Lead Teacher  Ashtanga Vinyasa

Kamal Singh

Born and raised in Rishikesh — the yoga capital of the world — Kamal spent seven years travelling India studying under masters across traditions, including the Bihar School of Yoga and the Sivananda Academy. Since 2007 he has taught at Tattvaa Yogashala, the school he founded on the banks of the sacred Ganges, now a world-renowned centre for Ashtanga and Classical Hatha. He is known for high-energy classes, precise alignment, and powerful adjustments that make the Intermediate Series accessible and transformative for practitioners of all levels.

Ashtanga Vinyasa · Philosophy · Āyurveda

Aly Simeone

An American teacher, researcher, and practitioner who began her formal studies of haṭha yoga, Ayurveda, and Indian philosophy after her first visit to India and Nepal in 2008. She has practiced Ashtanga Vinyasa under Kamal Singh since 2011 and brings academic rigour alongside embodied sensitivity to her teaching. Her research focuses on classical Sanskrit texts including the Carakasaṃhitā and Sāṃkhya-kārikā, as well as contemporary practices of Ayurveda, specifically for female health in Nepal. Co-founder of Asturias Yoga in Spain, she teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa as a moving meditation, emphasizing breath-body alignment and the cultivation of equanimity.

Anatomy & Biomechanics for Yoga ĀsanA

Sebastián Arbondo

Born in Spain and drawn to movement from an early age, Sebastián has dedicated 27 years to the practice of Ashtanga yoga, beginning his journey under the guidance of his grandmother. His pursuit of holistic well-being led him to study Traditional Chinese Medicine and martial arts, before travelling through Asia and settling in Japan for over 15 years, where he founded Ashtanga Yoga Osaka. Seeking a deeper understanding of the human body, he returned to university to study physiotherapy — a decision motivated by his observation that as practitioners age, healthy movement requires more than yoga alone. He has studied under respected teachers including Rolf Naujkat, Dona Holleman, and Chuck Miller, and holds certifications in FRC and Kinestretch, a movement enhancement system developed by Dr Andreo Spina used by sports athletes and movement physicians worldwide. For this training, Sebastián will lead the module on Anatomy and Biomechanics for Yoga Āsana, guiding students towards a functional, body-intelligent understanding of how postures work — one grounded in the mechanics of joints, breath, and gravity rather than force.

Meditation · Yoga Philosophy · Pranayama

Sunil Sharma

Born in Rajasthan and drawn to yoga from an early age by life’s deeper questions, Sunil Sharma has spent over 25 years teaching yoga, pranayama, and meditation in Rishikesh and across the world — from India to China, Dubai, and Europe. He holds a Diploma in Yoga Education from the prestigious Kaivalyadhama institute in Lonavla and a Master’s degree in Psychology, bringing both classical yogic rigour and therapeutic insight to his teaching. In 2013 he founded Yoganga Healing in Rishikesh, a school dedicated to using ancient yogic tools — breath, awareness, and contemplative practice — as pathways to inner healing and transformation. Sunil will be contributing five lectures on the Bhagavad Gītā, exploring its teachings as a living guide for the dedicated practitioner. He will also introduce students to the Haṭhayoga Pradīpikā — one of the oldest and most foundational written works on haṭha yoga — offering students a rich encounter with the philosophical and practical teachings that shaped the practice
