Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga- Part Two
The goal of this course is to learn the complete Ashtanga Primary series, leaving the participant with the confidence and skills to practice the meditative Mysore style of Ashtanga yoga. There will be workshops on how to enter, stretch and breathe within the more advanced asanas of the series, those that were not already covered in Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga- Part One. We will also explain the benefits of each asana, valid alternatives and how to avoid injury due to incorrect alignment.
Set in our beautiful and tranquil retreat centre, each day we will practise the full Primary Ashtanga Yoga series. There will also be daily talks on yoga philosophy and various life-style practices common to yogis and a guided excursión into the surrounding nature (we are situated on the border of thePicos de Europa National Park).
In order to participate in this course, one should have already completed Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga- Part One, or have prior experience practising Ashtanga Yoga.

Workshop 1: Intermediate Asanas Part II
In this workshop, we will be focusing on the balancing asanas. These particular asanas have the characteristic of providing the practitioner with improved concentration and mental clarity.

Workshop 2: Advanced Asanas
In this workshop, we will attempt to perform the most challenging asanas of the series, while also learning valid modifications.
